Amethyst is a powerful channel strip that gives you the warm sound of the most famous British consoles of the late 1970s and early 1980s. Hymn to a rock legend Amethyst reproduces the channel tape every component audio operation found on one of the most revered British consoles of all time. It includes a channel strip, EQ, dynamics processor and a new preamp section. Detail Amethyst is a powerful channel strip that gives you the warm sound of the famous British consoles of the late 70s and early 80s. The Amethyst channel strip contains three parts: a preamplifier, an equalizer and filters, and a dynamics processor. All of these parts are also available as a single attachment for added versatility. The filter section contains 2 filters (A-B mode). The EQ section contains a new emulation (B) in addition to equalizer A. The new EQ circuits are based on the famous British design, giving you an unmistakable “rock” sound. Besides offering a whole new set of EQ curves, EQ B has 2 controls: GLOWY for the LF section and SHINY for the HF section. These controls allow you to change the slope of the low and high shelf cells, changing the general tonal balance of the sound without changing its character. Amethyst is based on a mixer that has been recognized by critics as one of the best sounding consoles ever.
