Coral 2 includes an EQ, compressor, elliptic filter and preamp module – plus a powerful new M/S Baxandall EQ that lets you perfect the tone of the Masters. Transparent and three-dimensional Thanks to the smooth, wide curves of the equalizer and the unique forgiving behavior of its dynamic section, the Coral 2 is an extremely transparent processor. In particular, the compressor applies a very soft clipped layer to the signal; this gentle and musical application saves transitions from brutal interruptions. M/S Bax EQ: Take back control Inspired by the classic baxandall shelf curves of the 1950s, we’ve created a uniquely powerful and smooth EQ designed to “finish”. The added M/S functions make it the perfect EQ for tracking, mixing and mastering, as well as a great EQ. Elliptical filter An elliptic filter is a crossover filter followed by a stereo image driver; it changes the stereo width of the incoming signal down to a user-specified frequency. The cutoff frequency can be selected from 20 step values  between 0 Hz and 360 Hz. Preamplifier module Coraland#039;s preamp module comes in three different “flavors”: air, tape and coral. This gives you the option of using them in two monos (a full” preamplifier that is completely identical for both channels) or in stereo (a preamplifier that includes small differences between the left and right channels, as well as a preamplifier in the hardware.
