Developed in collaboration with Studio DMI and renowned producer Mike Dean (Kanye West, 2Pac, Scarface, Travis Scott, 2 Chainz, Jay-Z, Drake), Gainstation 2 is a top-level plug-in for distortion and creative audio editing. The ultimate distortion plug-in The Gainstation is based on a series of hardware modules carefully selected and designed by Dean himself to achieve his distinctive sound. It lets you add power, dimension and life to your tracks faster and more efficiently than any other string add-on in your arsenal. Put on your winning face! Gainstation has 5 different sections, giving you maximum creative control. A dedicated preamp section lets you change the overall input and output levels from -2 dB to 2 dB. The input amp trim control allows you to increase and decrease the harmonic distortion of the preamp, easily adding “color” to your signal source. The EQ section consists of two bands similar to the Pultec: the bass band and the upper band. The bass range affects the low frequency response and the amount of harmonic distortion using the analogy of an integrated preamplifier. To increase harmonic levels, simply select one of the four built-in simulations and adjust it using the amp’s input control. What’s new in Gainstation 2? We’ve taken Gainstation 2 to a whole new level by adding several powerful features to improve performance and sound quality: A beefed-up “Pultec-style” style EQ section with 2 new frequencies from a classic mid-range tube EQ: 700 Hz (affects the Bass band), and 1.5kHz (affects the AIR band). New versatile, variable texture circuits that give a global boost to both the harmonic content and linear material, and can help breathe life into the dullest of recordings. New texture circuit buttons: Circuit emulation (O=Orange) for more saturation in the bass and low-mids; circuit emulation (B=Black) that accentuates saturation in the highs and high-mids; finally, a third mode (OB=Orange Black) that serializes both circuits by merging the features of both of O and B into one.
